Avian Rescue Online was created by Coventry to provide information relevant to the avian rescue field --or any bird owner who would like to maintain the optimum health of their bird(s). A work continually in progress, Avian Rescue Online has links to many, many avian sites including legislation, health, illness, diet, and articles written by people who are fully equipped to write about these issues.
The Parrot Chronicles is a new online magazine for parrot lovers. They have a great list of bird clubs and avian rescue listings. Don’t miss it!
King Crayon’s Homepage is a very favorite site. The graphics take a bit long to load, but it is worth it. I don't think there's a bird owner in existence who can't relate to the “Royal Kiss”, and not a one who would not *sigh* over the “Royal Bathtub”.
The Lexicon of Parrots has the best source of natural history/general information about parrots. I recommend, however, having the scientific name handy as a secondary method of looking up a bird just-in-case. Definitely the source for a quick overview and picture of practically any parrot.
Bird Breeder Online - This website has tons of information including building aviaries, optimum diets, health & illnesses, and lots more great information. Since it deals primarily with people managing multiple birds, it is perfect for exotic bird rescuers and multiple-bird households. Head toward the archive. Although they aren't listed by article, it is well worth your effort to go through each issue and don't miss the “ask the vet” sections which don't itemize clearly.
